Project Operations Manager – Papendrecht / Antwerpen
Lead and optimise offshore vessel operations within complex marine projects

Introduction

For the Offshore Division, we are looking for an experienced Project Operations Manager to temporarily support the Marine Services department. In this role, you will manage the operations of a group of offshore vessels and act as the key interface between clients, vessels, and internal departments. The assignment starts ASAP and is expected to run for 6 months, with the option to extend.

Your role

As Project Operations Manager, you are responsible for the successful execution of charters and offshore projects across the Marine Services fleet. You will ensure operational excellence throughout all project phases.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the operation of multiple vessels during all phases of offshore projects
  • Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external clients within renewables and O&G
  • Executing charters and projects for vessels within the Marine Services fleet
  • Coordinating closely with vessel crews and internal departments such as crewing and fleet
  • Optimising project results by adapting sailing strategies during contract execution
  • Aligning expectations with clients and supporting operational matters during the pre-contract phase
  • Visiting vessels during mobilisation and demobilisation to ensure timely delivery within budget

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a hands-on and communicative professional with a strong maritime background.

You ideally bring:

  • A nautical or maritime background with relevant experience in the maritime industry
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant working experience
  • Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills in Nautical English
  • An analytical mindset with a structured and accurate way of working
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude and a collaborative team spirit

What we offer

Working via OCRE Offshore Services, you can expect:

  • A temporary project assignment starting ASAP for 6 months, with option to extend
  • Full-time role (5 days per week preferred, 4 days per week optional)
  • Office-based work during the start phase, with up to 2 days WFH optional thereafter
  • Work location in Papendrecht (preferred) or Antwerpen (optional)
  • Professional support and personal guidance throughout your assignment
