OCRE Medical Services supports the fourth PIENTER study commissioned by the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. This nationwide study examines how well people in the Netherlands are protected against infectious diseases and also considers the relationship between health and the living environment.
Medical competence at national scale.
PIENTER 4 involves home visits across the Netherlands with participants of different ages. Qualified field professionals must plan and conduct visits, collect and register biological samples according to strict procedures, and ensure that materials are transported or stored correctly on the same day. The programme therefore requires medical competence, national reach, reliable planning and disciplined regional logistics.
Workforce and operational coordination.
- recruitment and selection of qualified medical field professionals;
- verification of experience and competence in venepuncture and sample collection;
- employment and contracting through a compliant staffing structure;
- preparation of staff for mandatory RIVM training and procedures;
- planning, availability management and continuity across regions;
- support for regional storage and same-day sample logistics;
- replacement capacity and quality follow-up during delivery.
Mobilisation and training began in 2026. The initial assignment runs for thirteen months, with the possibility of extensions, and supports fieldwork across all Dutch provinces.
